take action like molly2dope and deadeyedsuprise

It has been calculated that if everyone in the United States did not purchase a drop of gasoline for one day and all at the same time, the oil companies would choke on their stockpiles

At the same time it would hit the entire industry with a net lost of over 4.6 billion dollars, which effects the bottom lines of the oil companies.

Therefore May 19th has been formally declared "Stick It Up Their Behind Day" and the people of this nation should not buy a single drop that day.

The only way this can be done is if you get the word out to as many people as you can!

Waiting on this administration to step in and control the prices is not going to happen. What happened to the reduction and control in prices that the OPEC nations promised two weeks ago?

Remember one thing, not only is the price of gasoline going up but at the same time airlines are forced to raise their prices, trucing companies are forced to raise their prices which effects prices on everything that is shipped. Things like food, clothing, buliding materials, medical supplies. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!!

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

words from molly:

I'm not telling you to stop buying gas, that's rediculous. All I'm saying is don't do it on Wednesday, May 19th. I know around 15 people that are doing it. There are over 150 of you on my friends list. If each of you does it, and you know two other people that do, that's almost 400 people that won't. If you tell people on your friend's lists, that's over 1,000 easily, just from this one message.

No whining about you not making a difference.
My one body at the March for Women's Live didn't make a difference, but I was one of 1,150,000 that did, and that's enough to feel personal pride and have a sense of accomplishment for myself.

If you don't take action, you can't complain. And if you're not outraged, you're not paying attention.
